Dear Renew Church Family,
It is a joy to lead a church devoted to Jesus Christ and God's eternal Kingdom. Your faithfulness and generosity continually amaze me, especially in a world that seems to be drifting from these values. Over the past seven years, God has blessed us with a vibrant, debt-free church where the Gospel is preached and lives are transformed across generations. Thanks be to God!
Flourish is the word I believe God gave me for Renew this year. I pray you are flourishing, and as growing disciples, I invite everyone who worships or serves with us - in person, online or through missions - to help our ministries continue to flourish.
Each November, we come together for Finish Strong, an opportunity to give beyond our regular offerings and support missions and ministry needs at Renew and beyond. It's an invitation to thank God for what He is doing and invest in the opportunities ahead. This year, our goal is to raise an additional $500,000. Whether you're here in Waco or joining us from across the country or around the world, we invite you to pray and give joyfully. Here are some of the ministry opportunities we hope to support:
- Peru: Help expand a school with three additional classrooms and create Sunday school rooms at a church.
- Mission Waco's Creekside Village: Help fund one or two additional homes, supporting efforts to address homelessness in our community.
- Buckner International: Help build another home on our campus that will be transported to South Texas, providing a permanent home for a family in need.
- Justice and Mercy International: Continue our partnership in the Amazon, including leading a pastors' conference in April 2027.
- Renew's Ministry Spaces: Improve our newly rented youth space and renovate our former youth area for our preteen and kids ministries.
- Worship Center: Increase air conditioning capacity to better serve our growing congregation. When this space was designed 30 years ago, no one imagined how many people would gather here to know and worship God!
How can you respond? Pray and ask the Lord what one-time, sacrificial gift you can give to help us Finish Strong. During November, bring your gift in the red envelope to worship, mail it to Renew Church, 6509 Bosque Blvd., Waco, TX 76710, or give online. Before completing your gift, make sure the giving drop-down indicates "2026 Finish Strong." We'll celebrate together during Advent in December.
Thank you for your prayers, service and generosity. If you have questions or would like to give another way, contact Pastor Pete at PeteP@RenewChurchWaco.org.
