LOCAL OUTREACH PARTNERSHIP

Buckner International

Building more than a house — we're building hope, strengthening families and sharing the love of Christ one wall at a time.

What is a Buckner Home Build?

Buckner International is a Christ-centered nonprofit dedicated to protecting vulnerable children, strengthening families and transforming lives for generations. Through Buckner's Healthy Housing program, families receive more than a house — they gain the opportunity to build a stable future supported by resources, encouragement and community.

Renew Church is honored to partner with Buckner by building the framework of a new home right here on our campus. Volunteers from our church come together to construct the home's walls and floor in sections before they are transported to their final location, where the house will be completed and become home for a family.

This unique project allows our entire church family to participate in a hands-on mission without ever leaving Waco. Whether you're swinging a hammer, serving meals, praying for the build team or giving financially, every person has the opportunity to help build hope for a family in need.

Why It Matters

A home provides far more than shelter. It offers security, stability and a place where families can grow, heal and thrive.

The Buckner Home Build is about more than construction — it's about demonstrating the love of Christ in a tangible way. As walls are raised and a home begins to take shape, so does the opportunity to encourage a family, strengthen a community and leave a lasting legacy of hope.

One of the most meaningful parts of the project is knowing that the home you're helping build will one day become the place where a family creates new memories, celebrates milestones and begins a new chapter together.

Get Involved

Whether you've spent years working in construction or have never picked up a hammer, there's a place for you on the build team. This project is designed for the whole church to participate. Some volunteers help build, others pray for the family and team, donate supplies or support the project in other practical ways.

Every act of service—big or small—helps create a home where a family can flourish. We'd love for you to be part of building something that will impact generations to come.
